The Aeta community is one of many indigenous tribes in the Philippines. Though they live a simple life, they're basic needs are hardly met.
To survive, Aeta families often eat only 1 or 2 meals each day. These small servings are shared among many children and adults who are all striving to make ends meet.
Many Aeta children also fail to go to school. They are unable to understand English and only know basic math. This lack of education leads to less job opportunities and more poverty, which is often coupled with many illnesses they can't afford to treat. If they can't tend to these basic human necessities, can you imagine how they will be able to celebrate special occasions and holidays?
